Ha Giang Loop

Concept

The Ha Giang Loop is a popular trail, often explored via motorbike, that passes through the rural landscapes and communities of northern Vietnam. It is known for the dramatic mountainous landscapes, winding roads, and cultural immersion.

This project explores the experience of traveling the loop, as a surreal, dreamlike fragmentation of memories. It aims to highlight the landscape, Vietnamese culture and people, and the connection formed with an easy-rider (motorbike driver). Rather than portraying the experience as a linear narrative, the work aims to evoke its feeling through moments, motion, and atmosphere.
